What we check first.

Many no-heat calls come down to a few things: a clogged filter that trips the high-limit switch, a dirty flame sensor that shuts the burners off seconds after they light, a failed igniter, or a blocked condensate drain on a 90%-plus furnace. We test those first, then the blower, gas valve, venting and controls, and give you a price before any work starts.

Safety first.

If you smell gas, leave the building and call 911 or your gas utility from outside. Do not flip switches or try to relight anything. If a carbon monoxide alarm sounds, get everyone out and call 911.

When replacement makes sense.

If the heat exchanger is cracked, the furnace is past its service life or repairs keep stacking up, replacement is usually the better spend. A new 96% efficient gas furnace starts at $8,900 installed, including gas filing and inspection by a Licensed Master Plumber. If you also want cooling, we can pair it with central air or quote a ducted heat pump instead.
